Even when they’re just made out of an old pair of Primark socks, wearing elbow-length gloves is very fancy. I feel like George Peppard’s cougar ‘decorator’ in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

half-hosting Media Talk

Because all the usual hosts were very busy covering the news of the replacement BBC DG, they let me take the wheel for the second half of this week’s Guardian Media Talk! This was a real thrill, and no hardship as I just had a nice chat with the marvellous Vicky Frost about the latest telly. Click here to get the episode.

Incidentally, if you took a shine to the vintage china used for the tea party on this week’s Young Apprentice, you can hire it from Vicky Frost herself. I’m assuming those young apprentices cleaned the cake off it before returning it.
